My Story

I didn’t plan to become a coach.

I started my career as a technology consultant in Beijing, with a Master of Engineering (CS) and a deep love of learning. When I moved to Canada, I began again — earning a Master of Education at UBC, then spending fifteen years there leading educational programs for diverse learners.

When I left UBC to become a coach, I didn’t have a roadmap. What I had was openness — and the willingness to let the journey unfold. It did.

How I Work

I believe that lasting change begins on the inside. Not in the circumstances around you, but in how you relate to them — how you see yourself, how you trust yourself, and how you choose to show up.

My approach is calm, relational, and deeply human. Clients often tell me they feel safe from the get-go — and don’t hesitate to share things they haven’t said out loud yet. That’s exactly where real change begins.

I don’t come with a predetermined agenda or a set of answers. I come with presence, curiosity, and the belief that you already have more wisdom inside you than you realize. My job is to help you access it.

Coaching offered in English and Mandarin Chinese

Three Careers. One Through Line.

From technology consultant in Beijing, to program leader at UBC, to coach — I’ve navigated transitions, built new skills from scratch, and figured out who I am across very different worlds. That lived experience shapes how I show up with you — with genuine curiosity, deep empathy, and the knowing that change, however uncertain, can lead somewhere meaningful.

Beyond Coaching

For me, life is an adventure — and I intend to keep it that way.

I’m a mom to twin boys who keep me on my toes and remind me every day that the best learning goes both ways. Outside of family life, you’ll find me in the water — swimming, paddleboarding, or testing my limits with freediving. In the winter, I’m on the slopes snowboarding, or chasing a different kind of speed on the skating oval. And in quieter moments, I’m in my garden.

I love to travel and explore the world — new places, new cultures, new perspectives. It feeds the same curiosity I bring into the coaching room.

I sometimes invite clients to walk in nature together — because good conversations don’t always happen sitting down.

I also give back to the communities that have shaped me. I volunteer as a guest speaker with SUCCESS, supporting newcomers to Canada, and serve as a mentor in Dress for Success’s Professional Women’s Group program — working with women building their confidence and careers. These experiences remind me why this work matters.

It’s not about what I’ve learned. It’s about never stopping the learning.
